Ad Beats by Dre

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Ttsx5squWg

The reason I chose this ad is because this ad made me want to buy beats. It made the song "i'm the man" by Aloe Blacc be stuck in my head for the longest time. The claim in this ad is that when you put the headphones on everything else goes away it cancels all background noise out. The purpose of it is to get people to buy the headphones athletes, football players, or people who watch football. The audience is anyone who watches the commercial mainly people who watch football because the star of the commercial is Collin Kaepernick the quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers. This was aired at the time of one of the greatest NFC football championships ever. It was the Seattle Seahawks vs. the San Francisco 49ers, these two are NFC West rivals. The game ended with the Seattle Seahawks winning of course with Richard Shermans swat leading to an interception. Richard Sherman is a corner for the Seahawks you might have heard his rant after winning the game. This was talked about for a really long time Michael Crabtree the receiver you see in the picture told something to Sherman so after the game he called him out saying, "When you try me against the sorriest receiver in the league thats the result you gon get don't you ever talk about me". But anyway this ad was pretty effective since I myself bought headphones. The headphones by the way are really good I use them when I work out or when I want to ignore people, noise really is cancelled and you do really hear what you want. Sometimes I catch myself saying "hear what you want". This ad got me with the music and with my favorite sport football.

  1. Good analysis, Daniel. I guess the ad was effective if it made you buy them.
